The ASLI Giving up at Day's Pay (GUADP) fund was set up in 2004. The purpose of the Fund is to provide the opportunity to ASLI members and affiliates and to any other individual or organisation to support their fellow colleagues in other countries.

Support in this context means providing the funds that allows colleagues from other countries to :

A nominated event could be a conference (ASLI, EFSLI, WASLI or other) or it could mean an event that allows an interpreter to come and shadow others working. The GUADP portfolio holder may propose a nominated event.

Currently the portfolio holder is ASLI Treasurer, Mark Schofield. If you have any questions about the fund please email Mark at treasurer@asli.org.uk.

ASLI has a stock of piggy banks for sale at £5.00 each. If you would like one of these to put your loose change in each day it becomes an easy way to collect money to then donate to the fund. Please contact Mark if you'd like a plastic piggy.

Please note: Despite the name of the fund it is not necessary to donate amounts that only reflect a 'day's pay'. You can donate any amount at any time.
