Fees & Salaries Report

The impetus for the report which was completed in 2001, came in the main from service users and purchasers who have had no benchmarks to use in establishing what an appropriate fee for an assignment might be.

Whilst the 2001 report does not provide benchmarks, it does indicate the range of incomes received by and the fees charged by interpreters.

The association is pleased to acknowledge the cooperation of many interpreters in order to complete the 2006 survey and report. It is intended that we will repeat this exercise at regular intervals; this exercise has provided a useful basis for further surveys.

Special thanks go to Karen Green, an ASLI member, who compiled the 2006 report and to CACDP (now Signature) for providing the funding to make it possible.

Special thanks are also due to Mark Schofied, an ASLI member, who analysed and compiled both the 2008 and 2011 reports.
