Deaf Interpreters are skilled at translation work between British Sign Language (BSL) and written English. They are also useful as an intermediary when a deaf client has little or no fluency in standard BSL to mediate the language between the BSL/English interpreter and the deaf client in order that the communication needs of the deaf client are met.
