Anne Richardson's Profile
I live and work in Norfolk, working part-time for Deaf Connexions, an agency in Norwich. I also accept a limited number of freelance bookings.
I qualified in 2012 through the NVQ route with Signamic while I was working in London as the Chaplain among the Deaf community. I started learning BSL in 1995 in Plymouth – and am very grateful to BSL tutors and members of Blake Lodge Deaf club and church for their welcome, encouragement and friendship. Although I never planned to become an interpreter, I feel privileged to be part of this profession. I love the variety of situations and people I meet and enjoy the daily challenge and opportunity to learn something new.
I joined ASLI as a trainee and found great support and encouragement. I’m now the regional representative for Central East Anglia and aim to create opportunities to meet for training.
